The mission of Friends of Baseball (FOB), is to utilize baseball's power to teach and enhance children's lives. FOB supports low-income youth and youth of color in Portland by increasing sports access and building community capacity in marginalized neighborhoods. We strive to provide opportunities for youth to learn valuable life skills, such as teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship, through the game of baseball. We believe that by instilling these core values, we can help prepare young players for success both on and off the field.
