Sep 25, 2019 Technology has become the answer to many of our everyday questions, and for the participants, it is also the answer on how to prepare the afternoon snack, while choosing between hot chocolate or tea, cereals or sandwiches- all through algoritms and apps. Jan 7, 2019 This was the opening question for one of the last lessons of the year. It was made to spark intrigue on how Chat Bots work and to program them- which eventually happened, but most interesting was the conversation on what the kids don’t dare to ask anyone. With that in mind they worked with different ideas and made a special visit to a software company. For 2017 we made many changes in the way we are implementing the program as we introduced more artistics concepts mixing virtual and real worlds together. Mar 7, 2017 Just a weeks ago, refugee girls were invited to attend our event in Athens, Greece. At the beginning of the day, the girls stood together in a group, staying close to their translator. Yet, as they started decorating their labcoat – and as other girls came over to ask them to sign their labcoats – you could see them start to open up, laugh, and become more engaged and quietly confident. We talked with our neighbours and for a couple of hours we closed our street for cars and filled it with colour, dance and people. Jan 29, 2016 2015 was an amazing and challenging year. It was our first time teaching kids to code using what our friends from Harvard University taught us during their visit in 2014. It was a great experience where participants learnt the basis of coding and ended up coding their own simple website while also gaining countless of other life skills that will remain with them as they grow up. Oct 30, 2015 Overcoming challenges is what makes us strong, after a first successful stage with scratch (coding platform) and the basics of coding through games, a new milestone was set after participants faced a more “real” coding platform and learnt how to code using Processing.JS. May 15, 2012 Last March we kicked off the activities in our new space. We rented a warehouse located between the two neighborhoods we are working with and turning it into 190sqm of happiness and social innovation. Aug 12, 2011 It's winter in Argentina. Normally this means that the attendance of the kids goes down, because of the cold, or because after a shower or storm the roads turn into mud and it's almost impossible to get to the school where we work. Fortunately the winter is not that cold, and the children like the e-learning program a lot, so the attendance is steady. We have divided the children in two groups. Mar 7, 2017 Just a weeks ago, refugee girls were invited to attend our event in Athens, Greece. At the beginning of the day, the girls stood together in a group, staying close to their translator. Yet, as they started decorating their labcoat – and as other girls came over to ask them to sign their labcoats – you could see them start to open up, laugh, and become more engaged and quietly confident. Jan 3, 2017 As the year came to an end and summer arrived in Rosario, we thought it would be nice to celebrate with a street party, so, we did. We talked with our neighbours and for a couple of hours we closed our street for cars and filled it with colour, dance and people. Jan 29, 2016 2015 was an amazing and challenging year. It was our first time teaching kids to code using what our friends from Harvard University taught us during their visit in 2014. Oct 30, 2015 Overcoming challenges is what makes us strong, after a first successful stage with scratch (coding platform) and the basics of coding through games, a new milestone was set after participants faced a more “real” coding platform and learnt how to code using Processing.JS. May 15, 2012 Last March we kicked off the activities in our new space. We rented a warehouse located between the two neighborhoods we are working with and turning it into 190sqm of happiness and social innovation. Normally this means that the attendance of the kids goes down, because of the cold, or because after a shower or storm the roads turn into mud and it's almost impossible to get to the school where we work. Jan 7, 2019 This was the opening question for one of the last lessons of the year. It was made to spark intrigue on how Chat Bots work and to program them- which eventually happened, but most interesting was the conversation on what the kids don’t dare to ask anyone. Mar 7, 2017 Just a weeks ago, refugee girls were invited to attend our event in Athens, Greece. At the beginning of the day, the girls stood together in a group, staying close to their translator. Jan 29, 2016 2015 was an amazing and challenging year. It was our first time teaching kids to code using what our friends from Harvard University taught us during their visit in 2014. It was a great experience where participants learnt the basis of coding and ended up coding their own simple website while also gaining countless of other life skills that will remain with them as they grow up. Oct 30, 2015 Overcoming challenges is what makes us strong, after a first successful stage with scratch (coding platform) and the basics of coding through games, a new milestone was set after participants faced a more “real” coding platform and learnt how to code using Processing.JS. We had to say goodbye to our program coordinator since he is moving abroad seeking for new adventures, and of course the children were sad to see him go. May 15, 2012 Last March we kicked off the activities in our new space. We rented a warehouse located between the two neighborhoods we are working with and turning it into 190sqm of happiness and social innovation. Aug 12, 2011 It's winter in Argentina. Normally this means that the attendance of the kids goes down, because of the cold, or because after a shower or storm the roads turn into mud and it's almost impossible to get to the school where we work. Fortunately the winter is not that cold, and the children like the e-learning program a lot, so the attendance is steady. We have divided the children in two groups.
