Challenge

Modern civilization is facing a number of overarching challenges threatening the livelihoods of people around the world and the vitality of both social and natural systems. There is a need for next-generation leadership with the willingness to make decisions on the basis of sustainability. Issues may differ in each continent, but the need to support the emergence of young sustainability leaders is the shared goal of OML - One Million Leaders).

Solution

OML exists to create a vibrant, local2global, action-focused network of NexGen leaders for sustainable and lasting change across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and MENA). Through the One Million Leaders Fellowship Program, we are training 7500 young leaders in 2024 and supporting them in initiating 125 community-change projects.

Long-Term Impact

In the long run, the OML program aims to create a vibrant Local and global networking opportunity for Fellowship graduates. The experience gained as an OML Fellow, and OML Star/Champion forms the foundation of the long-term engagement in the global OML Alumni Community). Our aim is to create a global community of one million nexgen sustainability leaders by 2030.
