TaiChiEasy offers a self-healing mind/body practice so simple anyone can benefit. Heal One World is sponsoring 100 18-23 year olds to be trained as Certified Practice Leaders to learn the practice and then have to tools to share in their communities, give back, and earn money from sharing the practice with others. There is a real demand for teachers in the Los Angeles area, with many opportunities. The training itself is also a wonderful experience for the participants.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Lack of available jobs for youth seeking employment. The unemployment rate is 43% in the age group of 18-23 in Los Angeles. The stress level is very high in the city which is only compounded by the lack of employment opportunities.
How will this project solve this problem?
It will provide opportunities for youth to learn a new skill of which there is high demand and be self enriched.
Potential Long Term Impact
The long term effect is very broad reaching as to provide a service in the community while giving a life long teaching skill to youth
