The new Solar Battery set-up and a colorful lizard
The new Solar Battery set-up and a colorful lizard

Hello all!

I just wanted to send you a quick word to update you on the progress we have made in repairing our solar system. As you know, it is a key goal of ours to become as self-sufficient as possible. On one hand, it creates a very positive image for the children to see that the camp can be run with a minimized pollution output, but also, being self-sufficient with a solar system will greatly reduce the overhead costs of running the camp.

Since we started the fundraiser, and thanks to your incredible help and support, we have been able to purchase new solar batteries to substitute the old ones which had broken down. Although we have not been able to change the entire system, at the moment we have established a battery set up which allows us to run at about 50% of the capacity that we had before. Of course we have had to cut back on our power usage, but the office and the basic amenities can function without a problem!

We are still working on replacing all the batteries so that we can go back to fully functioning! In order to achieve that, we have set up another project similar to this one HERE! Please share the project to help us achieve our goal and complete the fundraiser! It is something which will really help us go green and make a difference!

From all of us here, thank you for your continued support and engagement. It really makes an impact on our motivation to see that people care and support what we do!
