Slowly but surely making progress!

Solar power is ever present!
Solar power is ever present!

Hello all!

First and foremost, I would like to thank you immensely for the contributions you have made to this project! It is something which has become a burden and seems to have no easy solution. We have been working on replacing the current broken batteries with newer but smaller ones. This serves its purpose to run the system for a couple of hours a day and so reduce the use of the generator. Our goal of running and maintaining an eco-friendly camp on solar power has been severely set back, but the whole team is actively looking for ways to reduce energy use while still running the essentials, such as the office!

Although we are working hard at achieving this, cloudy days in winter make for interesting evenings, as we have had to eat in the dark using candles and headlamps as illumination. Nothing short of romantic dinners at DAKTARI!

Share the project to bring a solution as quick as possible to our problem!

Again, a heartfelt thank you to all for supporting what we do! Your donations make a huge difference to the project as well as our motivation to continue working hard! From everyone at DAKTARI, we are tremendously thankful!

Best wishes and until next time!
