Addressing public health concerns by working to improve sanitation and mobilize food, water, and clothes for villages affected by the tsunami disaster.
53 villages in the Prakasham district are affected by the tsunami. Over 700 people are missing and 4,000 have been evacuated.
Teams are tackling the immediate problems created by the tsunami. This project aims to reduce the post-disaster spread of disease by improving sanitation. In addition this project will transport food, water, and clothing for children in need.
Improving the sanitation and health for the residents of 53 villages is expected to reduce the spread of disease and improve livelihoods for these residents.
