How will this project solve this problem?
Teams are tackling the immediate problems created by the tsunami. This project aims to reduce the post-disaster spread of disease by improving sanitation. In addition this project will transport food, water, and clothing for children in need.
Potential Long Term Impact
Improving the sanitation and health for the residents of 53 villages is expected to reduce the spread of disease and improve livelihoods for these residents.

This may be the worst natural disaster in recent history because it is affecting so many heavily populated coastal areas.
