One hundred jobless young persons and women will undergo technical training in 4 rural towns in Cameroon and given 10,000 broilers to rear as micro-credits in a revolving fund.
Each year about 250,000 youths swell up the number of 4 million jobless young persons in Cameroon out of a population of 20 millions. Two-thirds of the extreme poor are women although they bear the brunt of food production. Poverty, malnutrition and unemployment are rising. To 100 youths of 16 to 35 years and women of any age, we shall, after their training, provide 100 microcredits in the form of 100 poultry broiler chicks for each to rear. This will occur in Batibo, Jakiri, Ndop and Bamenda.
Holding of 4 short poultry training courses, each for 4 days. Distribute day-old-chicks and other inputs on the spot. Sign credit engagements to refund in one year. Rearing of 5 batches of broilers per year. Regular follow-up of the microprojects
Training of 400 youths and women out of which 100 are given microcredits to be refunded after 1 year. It is collected and given to others. It will be replicated by thousands of others and solve abject poverty, malnutrition and acute unemployment
