Telecentre and other ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies), such as cell phones, multimedia materials, etc., allows Torotoro girl teens to be empowered and to know about their rights and stand against sexual aggressions, unwanted pregnancy by the access to training options and education for their future. The Project will implement and execute a cycle of training and education about themes with the target group and, eventually, their family and others members of civil society
A percentage of about 50% of adolescent girls in Torotoro suffer sexual assault, both on the street and in the family, introducing unwanted pregnancies, do not allow for training and education options face their future by themselves. Generally they are marginalized socially and emotionally. The Community Telecentre will provide specialist information and support about sexual and reproductive health, their rights against violence and access to justice.
Installing a Telecentre in the Municipality of Torotoro where adolescent girls have physical space for meetings and communication, access to guidance and information specialists on topics of their rights against violence and sexual aggressions
The project will achieve the training and empowerment for at least 600 adolescents in Torotoro about their rights against violence and sexual aggressions and may have permanent access to justice services, assistance and specialized advice.
