Women will receive training in poultry farming at the Organization’’s demonstration farm . After acquiring the skills, they will be given chicks to start their own poultry farms for income generation
The women live in object poverty, most of them with no income at all to support themselves and families. They live on less than a dollar a day and they cannot afford to get the basic necessities of life.
The poultry project to act as a demonstration/training centre for these women so that after acquiring the skills they will be provided with seed chicks to start their own poultry farms for income generation.
The chickens and the eggs are both important in changing lives; through improved nutrition and increased incomes. The project will make the women self-reliant and also improve their living conditions.
