Summary
Decrease families' needs that are in extreme poverty, providing educational programs, support for parents, food, medical and sanitary assistance, and recreational activities.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
The families that reside in this neighborhood have an increasing need of food, and as a consequence of this, a high malnutrition rate. They require school, technical and sexual education. Their young adults and adults lack family planning education, contributing to a high birth rate in women (4 children/ women).
How will this project solve this problem?
Educate, feed & urbanize >200 children on a daily basis, reducing the amount of children working on the streets & prepare them for school.
Potential Long Term Impact
Increase program capacity to the 500 families that reside in the zone.
Project Message
The increase of poverty in my country is leaving children on the streets vulnerable to drugs, alcohol & robbery. A small contribution becomes enormous, if it is imitated by several sensitive people.
