Provide relief and rehabilitation services for affected communities in the southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
This project aims to create 24 refugee center in the Galle area to provide relief services and rehabilitation for the affected 5000 families, including establishing living conditions and providing basic living requirements. In the southern city of Galle, Sri Lanka's second largest, nearly all homes within about a half mile of the coast were destroyed or damaged. The city is short of food, and the homeless crowded into churches, mosques, and Temples.
How will this project solve this problem?
Supply food and water to the 5000 families who lost their homes and other property. Provide much needed medical facilities. Provide security and basic human needs. Develop short and long-term plans for residential problems.
Potential Long Term Impact
5000 community members will be well-cared for and rehabilitated.
Project Message
Nearly 10000 peoples have died. Following the disaster, epidemics are feared. As a NGO concerned and vigilant, we have prepared a plan to meet the urgent requirements of those affected.
