Help Victims of Turkey Mine Disaster

We are deeply saddened by the tragedy in Soma, Manisa that happened on May 13. Our thoughts are with the families, friends of the miners and everyone impacted by the disaster. We created the "Soma Disaster Relief Fund". 100% of donations TPF receives will go to the victims of the accident through our local NGO partners.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Between 200 and 300 miners were trapped underground after a tragic mining explosion in Soma, Turkey.

How will this project solve this problem?

All donations to the fund will be granted to organizations assisting victims of the disaster including giving scholarships to children of the miners who have lost their lives. Currently, we are compiling information about the best way to support the miners, their families and the mining community in Soma.

Potential Long Term Impact

Providing scholarships for the children of the miners who have lost their lives.
