Renovate Three Elementary Schools in Laos

Ban Phao School (Elementary)
This is just one of the many run-down schools in rural Laos. Most rural schools have similar problems and need urgent attention. SEDA is working with Ban Phao, and others like it, to rebuild education and forge opportunity.
|
If walls could talk
Many walls at Ban Phao school are no more than thin bamboo screens, creating a noisy and dusty environment for learning. Your donations will be used to help SEDA build new classrooms for the students of this village.
|
The bare essentials
For the last 20 years, this school has been functioning with the bare essentials. New classrooms, books and a school computer will change the nature of education at Ban Phao and make a positive impact on the future of its students.
|
Open to the elements
With no screens or windows on these classrooms, the school often gets flooded during the rainy season. In addition, insects and mosquitoes have free range while the children are in school.
|
Mathematic minds
This maths room is far below the standard of schools in the capital city of Vientiane, not to mention schools in the developed world. With your help, SEDA is working to create a prosperous place of learning for mathematic minds.
|
Science without equipment
To have a science class without equipment is all too common in rural Laos. And without science, students in Ban Phao are denied the basic right of a good education and the opportunity to enroll in tertiary education.
|
Eager minds
Regardless of conditions, the children at Ban Phao School are eager to learn with the limited resources available to them.
|
Rural Schools
Village schools in Laos have no way of generating funds to repair their buildings. They rely entirely on donations from foreign aid organizations and local non-profit organizations, such as SEDA.
