Martha Campbell, PhD - President and founder

Dr. Campbell is a political scientist and health policy specialist focusing on sustainability, scale and market mechanisms in developing country projects. Previously she directed the population program of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. She is a Lecturer in the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley. Her degrees are from Wellesley College and the Univ. of Colorado.

Melodie Holden, MS, MPH - Director, Special Projects

An engineer and businesswoman who led strategy projects as an IBM consultant for 7 years, Melodie worked extensively in Asia and Africa and is experienced in developing business plans, budgeting and evaluation. She applies business approaches to improve health. She is responsible for VS’ drug regulatory and distribution programs in most of Africa and is academic faculty at UC Berkeley.

Ndola Prata, MD, MSc - Director of Maternal Health Program

Dr. Prata is an Angolan physician and medical demographer who has worked in many African countries. She has designed the protocols and directed technical assistance and training for the Venture Strategies clinical demonstration studies in Tanzania, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Egypt. She is also a lecturer in the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley.
