The Rio Sol project, and its smaller sister project ‘Across the River’ are currently at a stand still as we await further funding. Our young trees need constant maintenance in order to survive the difficult first year of life, when grasses and herbivores pose great threats.
Recently we have received enough to allow two days of maintenance work, we have 10 months of maintenance to do.
Funding can come in many forms, and we are exploring new and well-worn avenues, including exciting new grants and partnerships. As the new executive assistant here at La Reserva HQ, I am going to work hard in securing the funding we need.
We thank you for your interest and support in these projects, which benefit not only the native fauna and peoples, but enable the planet to provide for ALL life on Earth. Please help us spread the seeds in whichever way we can, see our website for the numerous ways you can continue to be involved with this project and others (see the link in this report to our official website).
Project Reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you will get an e-mail when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports via e-mail without donating or by subscribing to this project's RSS feed.
Combined with other sources of funding, this project raised enough money to fund the outlined activities and is no longer accepting donations.
