This project will enable Gohechi to purchase land and build a permanent school for children in Arusha, Tanzania. The stability and quality of the students' lives at Gohechi will be greatly improved with this development.
Gohechi Centre does not have a permanent location to operate from, which causes instability. The school/orphanage has had to move locations multiple times in just a few years, making it difficult for students to travel to the school. Rent is expensive and it would be more cost effective if Gohechi could own their land and building.
If Gohechi was able to own its land, students would have a sense of permanency and stability. Also, financially, Gohechi would be able to save money and eventually put that money toward other projects, like investing in technology, teacher training, and teaching supplies.
The long-term effects of Gohechi owning land and a building would be great. The entire community would have a positive place to send their kids to school, students would be able to go to secondary school in the same place rather than having to travel to another school, which often means none at all. The long-term vision is that 100% of Gohechi students would graduate from secondary school and go on to university. Please help us make that happen!
