The project will directly support 500 pedal powered innovators in East Africa which will create jobs, save lives and improve poor communities.
Arusha, Tanzania is quickly emerging as a modern town and hub for services throughout East Africa. However, the villages surrounding Arusha are still basic and poor. These villages, and many like them around rural Africa, require organic grassroots innovation in order to achieve prosperity. There is plenty of scope to create new jobs in the agricultural sector and to develop new products and services that gives support and creates improvements for those at the bottom of the economic pyramid.
500 Unique Innovations will help villagers develop technology solutions to solve local problems and create employment. The program will provide critical thinking skills and creativity to empower villagers in rural
With the ripple effect of 500 innovations around Arusha, Tanzania, we can reach 25 villages containing average 2,000 people. The program will directly work with 50 people in each village and will indirectly help nearly all of the 50,000 people!
