This project will help provide school uniforms, books, pens, bags, pencils to 100 girls for them to attend school to acquire basic education to become resposible citizens of Ghana.
The northern regions of Ghana are the most deprived areas as far as education is concern for the girl child. The cultural practices of the area make it completely difficult for female children to attend basic educational level. They are meant to assist their mothers at home and learn how to do domestic work that will prepare them well for their future husband’s homes. They are not even taught how to read or write English making it very difficult for them to interact with the rest of the society
We will provide books, uniforms, bags, school sandals, pen, school fees, pencils etc that will enable 100 girls to attend school continuously for 5 years. This will stop girls from getting married between the ages of 12-15 years.
We will educate 100 girls from poor families to acquire basic education that will put them in decision making positions within Ghana. It should be noted that once we educate a girl, we are educating the whole nation and the society will change
