This unique project will empower 25 marginalized young Palestinians with the skills needed to find and keep a job so they can build their futures and contribute to the development of their society.
Youth unemployment in the West Bank/Gaza is an alarming 36 percent, and 66 percent of the population is under age 29. In the West Bank, many young people are challenged with a lack of training opportunities that lead to guaranteed employment. When unemployed, young people are unable to support themselves, their families, and reach their full potential as contributing members to their communities and societies.
To meet this challenge, PEFE will secure job commitments from employers prior to providing 25 Palestinian youth with employment-targeted training that will teach the skills all employers need in today’s market: Soft-skills.
This unique project will empower 25 young people with the skills to get jobs, succeed at their first jobs, and build their careers. Jobs for 25 young people will have a spill-over effect, resulting in an increased income for up to 125 individuals.
