OYE develops the leadership and capacity of at-risk Honduran youth through academics and integrated training. OYE ensures youth have the knowledge and the power to take control of their own lives.
OYE works to create sustainable solutions to poor education and poverty in El Progreso, Honduras. OYE scholarship recipients participate in leadership training and capacity building seminars where they are provided the tools necessary to serve as agents of social change in their schools, universities and in their own communities.
Scholarship recipients will receive leadership training and take part in one of OYE´s youth-led communications projects. Youth apply skills learned to engage the community using local radio, monthly magazines, soccer tournaments and art projects.
In a country where youth are the most valuable yet overlooked asset, OYE will educate and train 75 youth leaders to become agents of social change by leading social innovation projects designed to reach thousands of youth throughout their communities
