Las Lomas K9 Rescue is a no kill shelter in South Texas where animals are constantly being dumped, abused, or abandoned. Expenses continue to climb and donations are at a low. We get no government assistance and rely on generous people like you to help us save more lives. In these tough economic times, we need help with general operating expenses so that we can continue helping the animals in our community. Cutting down the stray population benefits everyone, animals and humans alike!
Our community is overrun with unwanted animals. We have no animal control and no funded facility to help. Dogs are being shot every day because there is no place for them to go. Ranchers do not want them on their properties and home owners don't want the responsibility of the dogs. We are the only no kill, non profit, tax exempt shelter in our area and have placed over 1,000 dogs in loving homes. This not only helps the dogs, it helps the community because they have no place to turn for help.
This project will help us tremendously with the expenses involved in operating a no kill shelter. It will enable us to continue saving dogs while cutting down on the stray population in our county. It will help the dogs live a better life while at the shelter and give them a huge opportunity for a nice, loving forever home. Without your support, and our shelter, many dogs are never able to survive at all. They don't stand a chance on the streets and deserve the best life we can provide them.
We hope to keep our shelter open for years to come and pray that one day we will have no homeless animals in our community. We would love to save them all and place each and every one of them in a wonderful, loving, forever home. The more we can help, the less are on the streets hungry, cold, and without shelter. Our community would be a much nicer place in which to live if the residents didn't have to worry about animals being dumped on their property that they are unable to care for.
