Best greetings!
Success, by mid-October 2014, we reached our funding goal for the mobile library in Pa Nho Village. The satelite library will provide 120 young tribal children access to library books. Thanks to you and your generosity in October, the project exceeded its financial goal!
GCSF brought the great news to the children and teachers at the main Khe Sanh Library School. What we got was a remarkable recommendation from Ngoc Anh, a fifth grader, “I’m so happy to know that our friends in Pa Nho Village will have books and bookshelves in their rooms. I think they will enjoy the reading a lot. But you know, there are more of my friends in the nearby villages who want to have such a luck like us. Do you think you can also help them to have books?”
Yes, Anh is right. There are more students in Khe Sanh area who are looking for such an opportunity. Khe Sanh Library has been very successful and we want to provide more support for the ethnic minority children by expanding the project to additional schools in the Khe Sanh area as a way to bring more opportunities of book-reading to disadvantaged children.
Therefore, we will extend the project to: (1) Provide scholarships and bicycles for poor ethnic minority children in Pa Nho village and (2) Provide 3 nearby satellite schools with over 400 ethnic minority children with mobile library packages.
News travels fast and so many more children in the surrounding villages are dreaming of having the same opportunity.
Once again, we would like to express our sincere gratitude towards your remarkable contribution to the education for children in the remote area of Central Viet Nam. Your continued support will multiply the number of young students who are looking for a chance to increase their knowledge via books.
