General Lee - before

General Lee - before
General Lee was malnourished and had severe hoof problems that disabled him from walking properly. With a simple procedure in his first year of life, General Lee would have been completely normal. He was 5 years old when he was turned over to USERL. (view small | med | large | orig)

General Lee - after

General Lee - after
General Lee had surgery to correct his malformity and bloomed under good care. His care currently is low maintenance, just a more frequent hoof trim to alleviate his club hooves. General Lee has been adopted by a wonderful family! (view small | med | large | orig)

Cinnamon - Before

Cinnamon - Before

Chelsee -Before

Chelsee -Before
was surrendered during an investigation in July 2007. The owners could/would not get veterinary attention for her. It was found upon a USERL veterinary evaluation that this mare had a severe dental issue that prohibited her from chewing any food properly. (view small | med | large | orig)

Chelsee after one month

Chelsee after one month
one month later, after dental work, Chelsee had bloomed into a beautiful 7 year old Mustang. She has now completed rehabilitation and is getting basic ground work to ready her for adoption. (view small | med | large | orig)

Briar Rose -Bfore

Briar Rose -Bfore
entered USERL on May 10, 2007 when she was surrendered by the owner who could not afford veterinary treatment. Her right hind leg had a severe injury that had been left unattended and had become severly infected. She also had ulcers in her mouth from eating weeds in her paddock due to inadequate feed available. (view small | med | large | orig)
