Top of the morning! I'm please to share with you that our Executive Director, Adam Lowy, is a top 5 Finalist for this year's VH1 Do Something Awards. What does this mean? We will be put in the national spotlight on VH1 on August 18th with a chance to win a $100,000 grant for our cause!
With any contest, we need votes!
Please Help Move For Hunger Win the VH1 Do Something Awards! Vote Today!
The DoSomething Awards recognizes "young-people" who are working to enact social change throughout the country. Out of literally thousands of nominees from across the country, we were chosen as one of the Top-5 finalists!
The award show will air on VH1 on August 18 and it gives us the chance to shine a light on all the good our family of movers has done over the past few years. We are the only Hunger Relief organization in the running for the award.
With your help we can take home the top-prize, that includes a $100,000 grant and the ability to bring more awareness to the ever growing need throughout our country.
All you have to do is click: http://www.vh1.com/shows/events/do_something_awards/2011/the-do-something-award/. Once at the site, click the "Vote" button next to Adam's lovely picture. From there you can sign in with your Facebook account or create a free account to complete the voting process.
The best part is you can vote once a day, every day until August 11th.
Since 2009, Move For Hunger has worked with moving companies to deliver over 325,000 lbs of food to food banks across America. We could never have made it to where we are today without your continued support, and we look forward to bringing more awareness to America's hunger fight.
