The pupils at Takija Islamic Nursery School don't have a permanent building to learn in. The 58 pupils presently enrolled and all future generations will benefit from a secure learning environment.This school is an eye opener in this rural vicinity of Kumbo. It is very special in that formerly muslims were not very interested in sending their children to school not to talk of sending them to Nursery schools. What the children who are currently attending school are doing needs a good building.
Takija Islamic school has begun to construct a building for its nursery section. The basic structure of the building is in place. However they need additional funding to complete the roof section, install basic fixtures and fittings and fit the building out with equipment required for teaching and learning. Being able to provide a nursery education will provide pupils with the grounding required to begin their school life. The community as a whole will benefit from increased access to education.
This project will provide 2 classrooms for nursery pupils and an office for teachers to plan and prepare lessons and Benches for Nursery one and Two. It will give pupils a safe and secure environment in which to play, learn and grow.
Pupils will have access to education from an early age. The quality of the education provided will be increased as teachers will be able to implement long term planning. The community as a whole will benefit from a greater percentage being educated.
