Help inspire novice gardeners worldwide to succeed, by providing them location-tailored seed shares, ecologically sound planting patterns and a regional expert gardener support network online.
Between 15 and 20 million people in the US alone have tried and failed at gardening, due to many factors, including: misleading and overwhelming information, too many seeds, maladapted cultivars, problems in design and lay out, misunderstanding their growing site conditions, little to no communty support, a failure to design for needs and integration into lifestyle, etc. Some pay upwards of $1,000 and are left with the idea they have failed, while giving up a basic right to feed themselves.
EcologicalUnit is growing gardeners with a novice-accessible global repository, providing bio-regional ecologically based site-specific planting patterns, seed shares and information, with a regional and online expert gardener network for support.
Food insecurity can be reduced through each person growing some food. By removing the trial and error, reducing price, linking growers, teaching, making the gardens ecologically site-centered and using plants that grow well, people feed themselves.
