17 year old Ramya lives in a single-roomed house along with her parents, a younger sister and two younger brothers. Her father, a mechanic tries to provide for his family with an average monthly income of about $60. Beating all odds with the help of our official partners in India Parikrma and Nele, Ramya and 7 other girls have successfully made it to high school. Greenlight for Girls believes that their future is full of possibilities. Help fund college scholarships for these 8 girls in India.
India is developing at a rapid rate where the rich are getting richer and the poor just remain poor. This scholarship provides the funding needed for tuition and living expenses for 8 girls for a 3 year undergraduate program . Armed with a college education, our 8 girls would have equal access to the best opportunities life has to offer. A first-generation college goer, she would take charge of her life!
