We had a generous donation of funds to build 2 new English Classrooms as well as a Computer Lab and a cultural center for movement and plays. However, we need funds for desks, teachers tables, storage cabinets, whiteboards and tiles for the floor and a stage. We have 416 English and Computer students who will benefit from the new learning center.
Old, dilapidated and unsafe classrooms urgently need replacing. The new building needs to be furnished in order to have a positive and safe learning environment for the students. The classrooms need desks, whiteboards, teacher tables and storage cabinets to be useable.
The kids will be able to use the new English Classrooms and sit at desks. The teachers will be able to leave their teaching materials in the classrooms, rather than taking them home each day. The computer lab is a new way of introducing students who have no electricity at home, to the modern world.
By providing a healthy, clean, safe and stimulating environment, the students are encouraged to stay in school and complete 9th grade. Without the new facilities, many students drop out after 6th grade and are not able to complete a higher level of education and find better paying jobs.
