The Ugandan LGBTI community which is still young and reorienting itself is faced with a challenge of an organized hate campaign by the homophobic society and the government through its legislation of draconian laws and Police harassment. With a well organized and well coordinated LGBTI network in Uganda which is fully aware of their rights and regularly meeting for purpose of enhancing their human rights knowledge/HIV/AIDS, and an efficient organized staff of QYU secretariat, the LGBTI community will be best positioned to effectively protect their rights on an informed basis and legally challenge any human rights violation in the country.
