New Era Educational and Charitable Support Foundation trains, supports and empowers teams of youth with capacities to emerge from a life on the streets, drugs and dysfunctional families, to becoming leaders capable of helping themselves and their communities. We are leading a movement that connects youth, educators and communities and empowers them to transform themselves from recipients of information and resources into valuable, contributing members of their communities.
Education faces a lot of challenges in Nigeria. The first and perhaps the greatest challenge facing education is inadequate funding .There is also the problem of lack of access due to high costs of schooling (which include the cost of books, uniforms, tuition fees, and transportation), opportunity costs, illness and hunger, limited economic costs of education and low quality, etc. Statistics indicate glaring imbalances against girls in enrolment, attendance and completion rates in all levels.
The Education For All Project (EFAP) will provide opportunities for formal education, leadership training and mentorship/career guidance to 5000 young Nigerians, especially those from less privileged home and girls to build sustainable, independent futures-ensuring they are not vulnerable to being abused, trafficked or used as agents of violence and crisis. We will build more classrooms , employ more teachers, provide textbooks, school uniforms and meals to children in school.
The Education For All Project (EFAP) will increase school enrolment, especially among young girls in Nigeria, train and develop local leaders, and break the cycle of illiteracy in the communities where we work; thereby creating the opportunities the children need to fulfil their dreams and potential. The Children of this world deserve what is best, and we must not give them anything less.
