Summary

Tanzania, one of the poorest countries in the world, has one of the lowest secondary school enrollment rates, and one of the highest dropout rates of girls. Only one in four girls continues past the 7th grade. The most effective way to assist vulnerable and disadvantaged girls in Tanzania is by providing them with a quality education. This is what Nurturing Minds is doing for the SEGA Girls School in Tanzania.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

How will this project solve this problem?

Research has shown that educating girls at the secondary level results in: Higher wages and better jobs, delayed marriage and lower birth rates, better health, nutrition, sanitation, immunization and education for their own children.
