Nurturing Minds, a non-profit organization based in the US, is working to change the world through the education and empowerment of these vulnerable girls in Tanzania by giving them a High School education combined with practical business and life skills.
The most effective way to assist vulnerable and disadvantaged girls in Tanzania is to provide quality education. Research has shown that educating girls at the secondary level results in: Higher wages and better jobs, delayed marriage and lower birth rates, better health, nutrition, sanitation, immunization and education for their own children. When 10% more girls go to secondary school, a country's economy grows by 3%.
