Sowmya, a first-generation student, from a tough economic, social background is brought up by a single mom. With hard work and persistent effort, Sowmya completed 10th-grade board exam with distinction and has joined Pre University in Christ Junior College. Most of the children at SUKRUPA are first-generation students born to young parents who are unskilled laborers who migrate from rural poverty to cities in search of livelihood and end up settling in slums.As they struggle for basic survival, education is not a priority. Even if children are sent to school, teenage drop out is quite common. This results in girls becoming young mothers at the age of 13 or 14 and boys a burden on a family's meager income.
Our focus through a quality education is to prepare them to become college graduates resulting in positively contributing young people. To achieve this goal, SUKRUPA has pledged to impart the best of education and knowledge through experienced, passionate and committed teachers.The balanced curriculum of academics, creativity in arts, music, dance, life skills, sports, vocational skills, and technology, motivating them to dream big and participate confidently and sensitively in the current world
