Gretchen Steidle Wallace - President and Founder

Gretchen Wallace founded Global Grassroots in 2004. She previously served as Managing Director of Youth Venture at Ashoka, and worked in international finance for PMD International, Inc. Gretchen has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. Gretchen is also a trained practitioner of Integrative Breathwork.

Gyslaine Uwitonze - Rwanda Program Officer

Gyslaine Uwitonze joined Global Grassroots in 2006, working her way up from Field Interpreter to Rwanda Program Officer. She is currently working on completing her law degree and lives with her husband and daughter in Kigali.
