The health of families and communities are tied to the health of women – the illness or death of a woman has serious and far-reaching consequences for the health of her children, family and community. In India, one in 48 women is at risk of dying during childbirth. My Community will use a multi-pronged communications approach to motivate social change. A regional radio drama will weave together relevant information on women’s health with a compelling story.
Through your funding, Media Impact will reestablish broadcastings to reach millions of people and provided them with important messages about family planning, gender equality, HIV/AIDS prevention and dowry. A 2 week trainning seccion is given.
