Wellness can change students lives forever. Our program develops responsible habits in the early years to make a lifetime of better health. Your donations purchase much needed teaching supplies.
Student Education seems to focus on training in all areas except healthy living. "Wellness Programs" can make a dramatic difference in a students health immediately, which has a positirve impact on regular attendance and improved learning. Boeckman School needs Books, Materials, Supplies, Curriculum support items, all aimed at helping students to make good and responsible health, nutrition and fitness Choices. Under these hard economic times, there is no funding for Wellness Curriculum.
Funding of this project will provide the money to purchase the Wellness Materials, supplies, literacy support, and all related materials to fully implement "Wellness" into the classroom at Boeckman Creek Primary School begining with the 2011-12 year.
The Boeckman Creek Primary School has 645 students in grades Kindergarten through grade Five. Implementing wellness into the classrooms will fill the void in training our kids to make better health, nutrition and excercise choices for life!
Wellness is more than knowledge and skill. A healthy disposition toward personal wellness is learned in the school garden, lunchroom, through play, classroom and with practice making healthy choices.
