In 2013, ARTS FOR ALL will send artistic workshops to over 3000 in-need children. Workshops are offered in many artistic disciplines, and are free of charge to the children and organizations we serve.
ARTS FOR ALL (AFA) is a non-profit arts outreach organization serving in-need children ages 4-19. Our mission is to provide artistic opportunities to in-need youth communities in the greater New York City area. Through ARTS FOR ALL, professional artists work with children who have little means or opportunity to explore the arts due to economic disadvantages, physical and mental disabilities, hospitalization, socialization issues, emotional trauma or any other life challenge.
On average, AFA sends out over 30 programs per month. Workshops are offered in many disciplines such as drama, dance, visual arts, music, video art, and academic-based art workshops which help children learn academic subjects through the arts.
We hope to open children's eyes to artistic skills they may not realize they have, to possible artistic careers, and/or to positive alternatives for releasing energy and creativity. Youth learn such skills as leadership, teamwork and responsibility.
