More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

CDRS is addressing the healthcare needs of communities in District Muzaffarabad, Kashmir, Pakstan that were devastated by the October 8, 2005 earthquake. The hospitals and health facilities were completely destroyed by the earthquake and won't be fully rebuilt until the end of 2008. In addition to providing medical services to patients, CDRS provides entertaining health education events for children and is assiting the local governement to re-establish a permanent and effective healthcare system

Activities

Five facilities successfully managed 104,659 patient contacts from January 1-December 31, 2007. Programs address primary and emergency healthcare, dental health, mental health, iodine/micronutrient deficiency and winter support to remote villages.
