SAATH has designed in order to empower 20 women, who young school dropout and women who are unable to go out from home for learning any activities which will provide them opportunity to be self-reliant. They will become self-sustainable economically through trainings on income generating activities like Beauty Parlor course. This course also includes Basic Computer, Basic English and Life Skills Classes. This course will facilitate these young girls to become micro-entrepreneurs
Women from slums face many problems like health, education, social, political and economic disempowerment, etc. They not only lack basic services but also have to deal with issue of male domination, identity crisis, shouldering responsibility and making it on their own. Hence they do not have any employable skills. The biggest challenge is to convince them to come for skill training out of the house. Lack of exposure also leads to low level of confidence and empowerment
The training will provide a platform to women to be trained in Beauty techniques in very less fees. It will help them to get full or part-time job in beauty parlours and also work as micro entrepreneurs as per their requirements. After Completion of training program SAATH will provide a certificate to enhance their marketability. The program will become a platform for businesses, women and society to join together in combating women self-empowerment
These women participants can become role models for others in their communities and families and become representatives of the training program. After doing these courses, the participants will get an entry in the formal job market and also become small micro-entrepreneurs. This will increase their self-respect, quality of life and improvement in their economic conditions
