Greetings from SERUDS Charity. Thank you for your kind support for the poor older persons through benevolent organization GlobalGiving.
In our target area, the older women, who are neglected by their sons, daughters, in-laws starving for food and ill-health. Many of them are suffering with ill-health. Due to poverty the older women children are working as daily wage labours in and around Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. Many of the families have been migrated to the metro politan cities to do work as construction labourers. In this situation the neglected elderly persons starving for food. We refer some of the older people to the near by Hospitals for the regular health check ups. We are providing escort services when ever they require for the hospitals.
The older women age group is 60 to 85yrs. About 30 old age persons having daily nutritious meals includes Steamed Cooked Rice, Akukura Pappu (Taar Dhal), Mixed Vegetable Curry, Seasonal Picke, Traditional Coconut Rice, Curd. With this nutritious food, the Destitute old age women health have been improved and they expressed sincere gratitude towards this kind gesture.
