Schnaidine’s mother abandoned her shortly after her birth, and so she lived with her grandmother for a while. But her grandmother had ten other kids to look after, so she was forced to leave Schnaidine, and her older sister Chanini, at the HTDC orphanage.
But with so many basic needs, like food, to worry about, the orphanage couldn’t provide Schnaidine with an education.
Without an education, Schnaidine’s future looked bleak. Without basic literacy and numeracy, she would almost certainly have been doomed to a life of poverty.
But Schnaidine is lucky - she has you in her life.
Your fantastic generosity means that we’ll be able to keep Schnaidine in school and learning the skills she needs to build a brighter tomorrow. Schnaidine’s been doing really well in school, but if she needs extra help we’ll be there to get her the tutoring she needs.
We’ll be able to support Schnaidine because you chose to give. There are so many things you could have spent your hard earned money on, but you chose Schnaidine. Thanks so much.
We’ll keep updating you about Schnaidine and all her classmates through this project’s parent page, Provide a Safe Home for Haitian Orphans. If you ever have any questions about how we're using your donation, please email andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!
Thanks again, and very kind regards!
