As COVID-19 has paralyzed life, Medicare Health Foundation is struggling to keep alive our mission of conducting safe deliveries in impoverished communities, and providing medical care to underprivileged children & families. Unfortunately if our funds dry up, many will be denied healthcare. This could have catastrophic implications for so many poor families to whom Medicare had always provided hope and comfort. This Ramzan and beyond, your Zakat could be our hope to keep serving the poor.
There is a lack of good quality affordable healthcare for the poor in Pakistan, resulting in unsafe child-birth practices and lack of proper medical attention for children. Family health is at peril too, because of this. COVID-19 resulted in the closure of many hospital services at Medicare. Our revenue has diminished, while the number of needy patients has increased significantly since many people have taken a financial hit from this crisis, thus being unable to afford essential medical care.
Your Zakat will enable Medicare to keep serving the poor, staying firm on our policy of refusing no one treatment on financial grounds. With funds available, for underprivileged populations, we will conduct Normal Deliveries, C-Sections, Medical check-up of Children to provide preventive and curative care, and ensure the general health and well-being of the poor.
Around 150-200 non-affording expectant mothers will deliver their babies safely, and around 6000-8000 children will get their medical check-up for preventive and curative care.
