As part of educating youth about the possibilities of business development, basic education tools, like desks and school supplies are needed. Mikwano Microfinance would like to offer a classroom setting for youth to come and learn, understand, hopefully some day, manage a small business. Most importantly, we want to give youth the education necessary to comprehend and manage mirco-lending effectively, as part of their business model.
Basic school supplies are vital to any school experience. Children must have basic school supplies if they are to retain any knowledge learned within the classroom. Learning the basics of business administration and management takes time, understanding, and the right teaching tools. A lack of any of these basic items diminishes the richness and effectiveness of the educational experience.
Purchasing the right tools is a must for the process of education. Paper and notebooks are essential to virtually any type of assignment. Students also need items such as calculators and rulers in order to learn the mathematical formulas associated with particular business concepts. By giving these youth the proper tools, along with current and relevant textbooks, we are ensuring that the information being given to these youth is accurate, appropriate and comprehensive.
By giving these youth the education and opportunity to have some control over their future by giving them the education and training they need to enhance and expand the already thriving businesses in Uganda. We also hope to empower youth to create their own small businesses that will build up the economy of Uganda.
