Showcasing the wind

By Gillia Lambert | Project Leader

With your support, students in the Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) program in Tacoma, Washington, had the opportunity to recognize the value of green energy. Engaging directly in the construciton and testing of windmills to generate electricity, raise a mass, and power light bulbs, students participated not only in science, but learned about the future of energy. On Tuesday, March 26th, Tacoma MESA students showcased and tested their windmills during the Tacoma MESA Day at Pacific Lutheran University. You can learn more about this excited day here: http://www.plu.edu/news/2008/03/mesa-day/home.

Thank you again for your support of innovative energy education. Together, we're making a difference in students' lives and creating a vibrant Washington state.
