Vanesa is a young mom who wishes to take care of her two children. She was born without one leg and has to use crutches to move around the house. With your help we can give Vanessa a new leg so she can pick up her baby and play with her little son, and be the mom she wishes to be.
Vanesa was born without one of her legs, and even though it was difficult growing up she was always been a cheerful and positive person ,even if she had to move around in crutches. Vanessa is now 26, and the mother of two adorable little boys ages 1 and 6, and she wants to be able to take care of them, pick her baby up and walk her eldest son to school everyday.
Vanesa wants to be the best mom she can be, and having a new leg will mean a great improvement not only for her but for her whole family. No crutches means she can carry her baby, play with her little boy, go out as a family and eventually find a job to give her kids a better future. Having a new leg will not only change Vanesa's family life but will give her more confidence and improve her self esteem.
Makavir Kmina provides prostheses to 250 amputees per year. This project will provide in a one-year period, prostheses to 20 children and youth between 1 and 25 years old who have suffered lower limb amputation allowing them to become independent in their daily life activities. This is important because they will have the opportunity to return to school, college or work, thus improving their living conditions and those of the people around them.
