176 million kids in India are currently being exposed to neglect, homelessness, educational problems, physical & sexual abuse, infectious diseases and mental health. Although laws and institutions to safeguard children exist, implementation is extremely poor. Therefore CSA made efforts to upgrade lives of these children. Education being their basic right, we will provide the School Material for schooling, which will encourage them for building their career and to be good human being as a whole
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
In the absence of eduction,Children in need of care and protection gets trapped in child marriage or drug addiction, and perpetuate the cycle of abuse or violence. In many cases, they are taken into state custody and sent to Children's Homes which lacks basic commodities. Indian Govt. made 'Education' the right of every child. But vulnerable children in care homes, often has to compromise with lack of educational material and therefore lose their interest in education & drops out from school.
How will this project solve this problem?
New set of educational accessories (uniform, school bags, stationary etc.) will excite the children to go to school which will encourage them to study and educate themselves to grow. This project will help the kids to learn that there is somebody in this world who care for them, who has provided this new set of School material they were in need of. Along with the stuff a 'sense of belonging' will encourage them to take their studies seriously. Thus regularity to attain the class can be achieved.
Potential Long Term Impact
With the formal education they can built their career of their own choice, which will lead them to be good human being and contributing member to the family, community and to the society, as whole. Education will help them to have the enlightened consciousness to fight against the vulnerable situation and find more better ways to led the life in positive manner. Better education will avoid them from becoming future criminals. They can come out of the life threatening, pathetic living condition.
