GCC is developing an interactive e-learning platform to enable youth to engage, dialogue, and problem-solve on global poverty issues. Students will be able to explore content on water, hunger, climate change, education, and more through info-graphics, videos, polls, and field challenges. Through student message boards, youth from diverse communities will be able to connect and collaborate on creative projects to solve global poverty.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
US youth need greater tools to learn about complex global issues that affect the world and their community and to be able to translate that knowledge to meaningful social action.
How will this project solve this problem?
GCC's e-learning platform will engage youth to think creatively beyond bake sale fundraisers to better equip young people to understand the challenges facing the developing world and to foster appropriate and innovative solutions to tackling them.
Potential Long Term Impact
We will reach 50 schools across the US to explore, speak out, and take action on a wide range of global poverty issues so they can be effective world leaders, advocates, and change-makers for a better tomorrow.

Every microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive. This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically Inspiring Youth to Become Active Global Citizens. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
