Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary

Critter Camp's Mission is to provide a safe, healthy, happy forever home to unadoptable small exotic and unusual pets. These animals are unadoptable due to advanced age, chronic illness, aggression and/or excessive fearfulness, generally from abuse or neglect. Many come to us from other shelters where they were to be euthanized. Our main goal is to provide care for as many of these forgotten pets as possible. Critter Camp's secondary goal is to educate the public on the needs of these pets for two outcomes. One is to help current pet owners provide better care of their pets, the second is to prevent impulse buying of these types of pets by creating educated potential pet owners. Critter C...

The tiny baby Bunnies we rescued are growing so fast! Thanks to you support we were able to save their lives! Now we can't stop taking adorable pics of them :)

We also recently rescued Gary & Greg the ratties, Logan the hairless ratty with health issues, Chester and Biscuit the ratties that are biters, and Darwin the guinea pig.

We also took in Zippy a 10 year old rabbit with a severe head tilt. However her loving family decided she wasn't too much work after all and they missed her so much that they came and picked her back up :)

Critter Camp is also in the Chase contest! Please see the links below to vote! We really need your help! Critter Camp can rescue hundreds more pets if we win some $ in the Chase contest!

Thank you!!!

Monster the Ratty
Monster the Ratty

Meet some of our newest residents:

Monster the ratty
He had bumblefoot but it has healed well

 Peanut & Spike
Peanut has an inoperable tumor, but is not in pain or discomfort

A carnival worker left this bunny at the fairgrounds after having obtained it from someone exhibiting at the fair, when this poor scared little momma gave birth the worker did not want her since he was travelling - Critter Camp was called and rescued Lady but not before one of her babies didn't make it, we have her in a safe small dark quiet area and she appeared to be nursing her two remaining babies this evening- will keep you posted -

Lady's food- she was given moldy hay cubes and feed corn- horrible

Darwin the guinea piggy

We have also recently taken in a family of 5 sugar gliders and some more guinea piggies- and a ratty- more pics soon!

Critter Camp Rescues 16 more pets!

Willy Wonka
Willy Wonka

What a Week!

Critter Camp took in 16 new animals, and broke our digital camera!
Luckily Jennifer T on Facebook offered to send us her CoolPix camera- so look for pics of the rest of the new critters soon!
Meanwhile meet Willy Wonka- a bunny that was in Kentucky and left outside in the winter with no food, his cagemate died and he was rescued by folks we met in the Pepsi contest. He will be safe & sound, fed and warm here in Critter Camp's Bunny Haven!

In addition to Willy We took in another rabbit- Fudge who was left at the local PETCO - the family said their hunting dogs didn't get along with her- really!
From a kill shelter with no room we took 5 mice and a Roborovski hamster.
From a no-kill shelter we took 4 dwarf hamsters that were biters and a rat with medical issues so they could make room for adoptable animals.
And from folks who had to find a safe place for their ratties with medical issues due to economic reasons we took 3 ratties- Monster a big sweet boy with bumblefoot, Peanut and Spike a lovely girl with a nasty tumor.
We'll send an update as soon as we get the camera & get some pics of the new rescues!
Thank you for making it possible for Critter camp to save these lives!
