Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary

Critter Camp's Mission is to provide a safe, healthy, happy forever home to unadoptable small exotic and unusual pets. These animals are unadoptable due to advanced age, chronic illness, aggression and/or excessive fearfulness, generally from abuse or neglect. Many come to us from other shelters where they were to be euthanized. Our main goal is to provide care for as many of these forgotten pets as possible. Critter Camp's secondary goal is to educate the public on the needs of these pets for two outcomes. One is to help current pet owners provide better care of their pets, the second is to prevent impulse buying of these types of pets by creating educated potential pet owners. Critter C...

Happy Thanksgiving from Critter Camp!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Everyone here at Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary wishes you a very happy Thanksgiving!

We are very grateful for all of the wonderful people who support our efforts to save the lives of small pets!

Recently we took in two more hedgehogs, Citrus and Mango. Their owner could not care for them, and had not given them attention so they do not like to be handled. They will be safe and happy here at Critter Camp!

We are looking forward to giving all the animals here holiday presents, as we do every year too!

We will update you with photos next month.

We're saving MORE Animals!!

Lizzie Before & After
Lizzie Before & After

Thanks to all of your wonderful support Critter Camp is able to save even more animals!

We've increased our funding limit so we can continue to fund our valuable rescues.

Success story: Lizzie the bearded dragon came in this Spring emaciated and near death- with our tender loving care, good food and appropriate heating and lighting she is thriving!  See the before & after pic!

We recently took in some more baby ratties that people could not take care of and most of them will be for adoption. They are adorable and friendly!

Critter Camp recently helped saved several pets that were on death row going to be euthanized due to biting, old age, illness & fearfulness. We can only do this with your help!

Check out our links to vote for critter Camp in 2 contests!

And finally We want to wish all of you a very Happy 'Tocktober! Enjoy! :)

Sugar the blind ferret

Thanks to all of you wonderful supporters Critter Camp is able to rescue more needy pets!

Meet:

Sugar the blind Ferret- she has many health issues and was not having her needs met by her owners. She is adapting to our free range ferret room and meeting her new 19 ferret buddies!

Michelle the box turtle. We got a call to rescue a "baby male tortoise" which turned out to be a female adult box turtle! She is enjoyign her life in our box turtle enclosure with ehr new lady buddies Abby, Irma , Millie & Alberta. She is also enjoying eating the right food and not lettuce!

Jelli is a very cranky older male hedgehog. We are hoping to settle him down but sometimes they just do not like attention from people. Hedgehogs are very shy and solitary animals.

We also took in a couple of tortoise and bearded dragons and hamsters recently!

Miss Vixen the Silver fox kit we took in in May is thriving! She is very active, growing like a weed and getting along with everyone!

Did you know that we use over 1000 pounds of supplies EVERY Single Week!

We appreicate every single person who helps us care for all 350 rescued samll pets here at Critter Camp!
