Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary

Critter Camp's Mission is to provide a safe, healthy, happy forever home to unadoptable small exotic and unusual pets. These animals are unadoptable due to advanced age, chronic illness, aggression and/or excessive fearfulness, generally from abuse or neglect. Many come to us from other shelters where they were to be euthanized. Our main goal is to provide care for as many of these forgotten pets as possible. Critter Camp's secondary goal is to educate the public on the needs of these pets for two outcomes. One is to help current pet owners provide better care of their pets, the second is to prevent impulse buying of these types of pets by creating educated potential pet owners. Critter C...

11 New Rescues at Critter Camp!

Bandit
Bandit

We've had a busy week here at Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary! Eleven new rescues came in!

Three 5 year old rabbits that had worked in a lab for their whole lives as food testers needed a home after the lab closed. They had been well cared for but not handled much and did not take to people so were not adoptable. Warren, Sirius Black & Dark Knight are all happily settled in to our free range Bunny Haven and have made new bunny friends here already!

Four guinea piggies were abandoned by their owner with a roommate who then dropped them off at a pet store. We picked them up and are considering which ones can be adopted and which will stay here for sanctuary.

Two degus came in because their owner couldnt care for them anymore.

And two ferrets came in because their owner has a serious medical condition that will only get worse. She and her young son were so sad to bring them but know they need to be in a safe place while their own lives change so dramatically. At least they ahve peace of mind that their beloved ferrets will be happy and cared for.

During this holiday season we are very grateful for all of the supporters who make it possible for Critter Camp to care for the animals that have nowhere else to go.

Happy Thanksgiving from Critter Camp!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Everyone here at Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary wishes you a very happy Thanksgiving!

We are very grateful for all of the wonderful people who support our efforts to save the lives of small pets!

Recently we took in two more hedgehogs, Citrus and Mango. Their owner could not care for them, and had not given them attention so they do not like to be handled. They will be safe and happy here at Critter Camp!

We are looking forward to giving all the animals here holiday presents, as we do every year too!

We will update you with photos next month.
